Alice originally discovered Pilates as a new way to keep fit. Having worked in an office for a number of years she found it difficult to keep up an effective exercise regime and didn’t like the atmosphere of a gym. After seeing an advert for Pilates in her local area she gave the classes a try and was hooked after her first class! Feeling longer, leaner and calmer she found it the perfect way to exercise both the body and the mind.
Pilates had such a positive impact on Alice's life that she decided to train to become a teacher with the world renowned Body Control Pilates. Her classes are designed to leave you feeling longer, leaner and stronger. It's a great way to switch off from the stresses of every day life and allow your mind to focus on the here and now.
Mat Pilates targets deep muscles, building strength and flexibility to rebalance the body into correct alignment.
Controlled breathing, a concentrated mind and the sensation of flowing movement makes Pilates a great way to release unwanted tension and stress.
